2008 Annual Meeting:"Our Nation's Waterways: Providing Value and Benefits"

The theme of our 2008 Annual Meeting, Our Nation's Waterways: Providing Value and Benefits, reflects the mission of the National Waterways Conference as the Nation's premier umbrella organization representing diverse water resources interests, including navigation, flood control, hydropower, and recreation, to name a few.

Our distinguished speakers, high ranking Government officials as well as industry leaders, gave insightful and informative presentations on a variety of timely issues. Topics included the opportunities and challenges we face with a new Congress and a new Administration, the benefits of flood protection, the importance of the waterways to regional economic development, and the necessity for environmental sustainability in the future.
